MOSAIC WOOD FLOORING

Mosaic Hardwood Floors are those that are comprised of smaller square or rectangular wood blocks, end grain wood blocks, hexagons etc to form together to complete an entire floor or even an image, corporate logo etc.

Mosaic wood flooring is something that is especially of interest to us. One of our owners (Dustin) has been an artist since childhood and regularly paints in his free time. As an artist that loves creating mosaic woods really allow for a unique work of art.

(note: Rhodes Hardwood travels throughout the US completing mosaic and other very challenging and customized wood floors. If you’re a corporation wanting a company logo done with wood blocks or end grain wood pieces or a homeowner with an extra challenging project in mind please feel free to contact us)

The purpose of this article is to hopefully share some of these unique looks because it’s not something that people see everyday and to share some information about some of the various wood types used in creating mosaic wood floors. Hardwood Floors made from wood blocks and end grain pieces if something we think will increase in popularity in the coming years.  If you’re seeking end grain, edge grain, parquet, hexagons or other wood mosaic material for a project or if you have a project you’d like to discuss with us, please feel free to contact us. Again, we’re willing to travel for custom intricate works such as those done with mosaic wood blocks.
